SamaSource: A Micro-Work Solution for Poverty: Leila Janah

‘Micro Work’ is a term coined by Leila Janah who founded the successful new business model for SamaSource.

This is a truly inspiring story of what a young woman with imagination and compassion can accomplish in alleviating poverty, and incorporating dignity, for real people in the world.

Young people in poverty-entrenched cultures deserve a genuine opportunity to earn an income through regular work that does not involve mindless, hard physical labour, but the use of their inherent intelligence, giving them room for advancement and skill development, must surely be the way the world has to proceed.

This interview was conducted by Peter H. Diamandis, best-selling co-author of Abundance: The Future is Better Than You Think and Bold: How to Go Big, Create Wealth, and Impact the World.

It is a lengthy interview, some 43 minutes, but worth it for the kick-in-the-pants it gives each one of us—for the inspiration to make a real difference in this ailing world. This is the time. And this is certainly the place!
